ACES Ranger praised for fire rescue

The bravery and efforts of ACES Group Ranger Lachlan has been praised by Emergency Services and colleagues after assisting in the rescue of two elderly residents from a house fire on Unwins Bridge Road.

After finishing his security shift, Lachlan was alerted to a fire engulfing a single-storey brick building. Without hesitation Lachlan entered the building with a police officer and passer-by to rescue a man and a woman aged in their 70s. The fire caused severe damage to the house before being brought under control by emergency services. The elderly couple were taken to Royal Prince Alfred hospital to be treated for the effects of smoke inhalation.
